Lar MacGregor is an artist who creates abstract sculptures that explore memory and identity. Based in the Scottish Highlands, she studied with the University of the Highlands & Islands, graduating with a first class honours degree in Contemporary Art & Contextualised Practice, in 2018. A scavenger at heart, Lar combines her love of walking with rescuing materials such as scrap copper, wood, stone and plastics. With a strong focus on sustainability, she embraces practices that investigate cultural context and environmentally conscious creativity, to inspire conversations around climate change. She has exhibited in Athens Greece, and in Scotland, and has been published in magazines, online and in books, with her art and writing.
